SunSport told you last month that Murray’s former clubs Hibs wanted to take him back to Easter Road.

But another of his old clubs, Dundee, also entered the fray as a battle to prise him away from Dingwall began.

The Staggies were scrapping to keep a hold of their star man who scored 23 goals last term.

There was a twist on Monday when SunSport exclusively revealed that BOTH clubs had seen bids kicked-out for Murray.

But just two days later, a deal has been struck.

Before anything official was announced, Murray dropped an almighty hint about his next move!

He took to X and simply said: « Home is where the heart is 💙 »

The 32-year old was born in Dundee.

The official announcement DID eventually come, less than an hour after the striker had dropped the huge hint about his next destination.

Dundee confirmed bang on 2pm that they’d landed Murray on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

He previously enjoyed a brief spell at Dens Park on loan from Hibs back in 2018.

The Dee welcomed Murray « home » after snapping him up.

Speaking on his move, Murray spoke of his delight at re-joining his boyhood club.

He said: “It’s amazing. It’s taken a while and it’s something I’ve just wanted to get done and to now be here permanently feels amazing. It’s good to be back.

« After speaking with the manager it just feels right for me. My family are based in Dundee, I grew up here, I grew up watching the club and the club are going places and I wanted to be part of that.
