TICKETS to Scotland’s Euro 2024 opener against Germany have hit a massive £10,949-a-pair on the black market.

Sellers are cashing in on tens of thousands of ticketless Scotland fans, with just 10,000 tickets allocated to the Scottish FA.

Resale site ticombo.com, selling 549 tickets to the game, is charging £8,422 for a pair of category one seats on the halfway line, plus a £2,527 booking fee, although at least fans get a meal and drinks.

A pair of category one tickets are also being sold for £5,474, including a £1,263 fee.

The cheapest tickets available on the website are £1,531 a pair, in category 2, including a £353 fee.

Face-value seats for the game cost from just €50 to €600.

UEFA said: “We urge fans not to purchase tickets on the secondary market.”

It comes as it emerged football fans in Scotland will splash a record £150 million on the Euros – as beer, big match grub and TV sales rocket.

As Scots across the country roar on the national team competing in Germany, £80m will be spent on food and drink for home parties watching the action.

Another £30million will be laid out in bars, two-thirds of it on beer, as fans pack pubs on summer evenings.

Thousands more TVs will also be sold, as well as tens of thousands of Scotland jerseys, and sales of BBQs will boom as many grill up big match grub.

Global Data Retail experts said: “With Scotland’s kick-off times all in the evening, large groups of friends and family will gather to watch.

“There will be a strong spike in food and drink sales, and an increase in people buying BBQs, accessories and garden furniture to host parties,

“For pubs, Scotland’s opening game is expected to bring the biggest boost to the hospitality industry, as it is on a Friday night.
