THE SCOTTISH SUN 🔵 Scotland star lights up the FA Cup with stunning wonder-goal as fans say ‘that CAN’T be him’
WHEN your goal is being compared to Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in their pomp you know you’ve hit a screamer.
And that’s exactly what Lyndon Dykes has done in the FA Cup third round.
The Birmingham City striker has found himself THIRD choice at St Andrews this season despite the Blues splashing out £1.8 million to sign him from QPR in the summer.
But he’ s found the going tough so far, and that’s reflected in his stats.
Although he did register a second tier strike for previous club QPR before sealing his exit, he’s failed to find the net AT ALL in League One
His first goal for Brum came against Fulham‘s under-21s in October in the EFL Cup group stage.

Then there was another in the FA Cup second round win over Blackpool in December.
Now he’s got his third.
And it was certainly worth waiting for.
The Australian born Scot smashed a stunner on the half-volley from 20-yards after a single-handed build-up with flicks, tricks and chest control.
It had football fans purring with delight and Brum supporters hoping it marked a change in fortunes for the 29-year-old.
Even the Cup’s own social media team compared the goal of the tournament contender to Manchester United’s former maverick Swede.
Others had their own comparisons but regardless, fans all seemed to say the same thing – the strike was a screamer.
One said: « Lyndon Dykes showing his inner R9 with that finish. »
Another quipped: « Lyndon Dugarry. »
The Emirates FA Cup account tweeted: « Lyndon Dykes or prime Zlatan Ibrahimović? The @BCFC and @ScotlandNT forward with an unbelievable goal. »
The astounding piece of skill came as Birmingham beat Lincoln City 2-1 and Dykes took control of a long ball on his chest.
Next he lobbed an on-rushing defender, took another touch on his chest and held off fellow Scot Conor McGrandles to volley in from 20 yards.
Commentators dubbed it a sublime finish.
And it left Birmingham fans stunned too.
One said: « That can’t be Lyndon Dykes. »
Another fan raved: « This is ridiculous. From the first chest control, poking the ball over the defender, and the final touch with the chest to make hittable on his right foot. »
Another hailed him: « The most technically gifted striker in England on current form. »
A fourth said: « Football fans are fickle, but honestly this should change some opinions on Dykes. »
A fifth added: « He’s been bad to mid all season then does THAT. Unreal finish. »
Dykes’ strike partner for Scotland Che Adams had fans drooling himself with a screamer in Serie A last month.
He smashed the winner in for Torino against Empoli from the halfway line.
