And the strikeforce rewarded the visiting boss by firing Celtic ahead at the break.

A wicked delivery from Alistair Johnston was converted by the Japanese international five minutes before the interval.

It had been a frosty start in the Highlands but Celtic dominated and eventually made the breakthrough once they’d warmed up.

However, County almost caught Auston Trusty cold after 15 minutes but Noah Chilvers pulled his strike wide.
