THE SCOTTISH SUN 🔵 Fans convinced Rangers target Albion Rrahmani is joining after social media clue

RANGERS haven’t been hanging about as Philippe Clement and his recruitment guru Nils Koppen oversee a major transfer overhaul this summer.

The Ibrox men have already snapped up Oscar Cortes on a loan with obligation to buy, and done deals for left-sided defenders Jefte and Clinton Nsiala.

But finding someone to bang in the goals at the sharp end is always what gets the fans’ juices flowing – and eagle-eyed Gers supporters trawling social media reckon they’ve got another sign that they’re close to landing another top striker.

The Gers have been heavily linked with Rapid Bucharest frontman Albion Rrahmani since the end of the season.

A full Kosovo international with a similar profile to in-demand Aberdeen star Bojan Miovski, Rrahmani bagged 13 goals in 15 league matches for Neil Lennon’s new side last season.

While Lennon said he wasn’t planning on letting the star forward leave without a fight, the player himself appeared to wave goodbye to fans.

And Rapid’s co-owner Victor Angelescu has subsequently admitted their star striker is almost certain to leave in the next window.

He has even already lined up a replacement in Romanian international hitman Louis Munteanu – who spent the season on loan at Farul Constanta from his parent club Fiorentina.

While Slavia Prague have also been credited with an interest, Rangers fans are desperate for him to choose Ibrox.

And with Koppen believed to have given him the sales pitch, eagle-eyed Gers fans spotted another reason to be cheerful when they spotted that he had begun following a Glasgow restaurant on Instagram.
