THE SCOTTISH SUN 🔵 Chris Coleman hired by Premier League owner as he takes on tenth managerial job in seventh country

CHRIS COLEMAN has joined the Leicester group after being appointed boss of OH Leuven in Belgium.

The ex-Wales manager, 54, keeps his colourful managerial adventure going by working in his seventh different country.

Coleman, who left AEL Limassol by mutual consent after 11 games last week, has signed an 18-month contract.

He will be presented ahead of Sunday’s top-flight home game with Anderlecht in the Belgian pro league.

OH Leuven are third bottom in 14th after 15 games.

The club are owned by the King Power International Group with Foxes chairman Aiyawatt « Top » Srivaddhanaprabha performing the same role at both clubs.

OH Leuven’s stadium is also called the King Power, like that of Leicester, who appointed Ruud van Nistelrooy as their own manager on Friday night.

Coleman worked in Wales where he led his country to the Euro 2016 semi-finals.

He managed in England with Fulham, Coventry and Sunderland.

But he likes a challenge overseas with various different experiences abroad.

Coleman coached Real Sociedad in Spain, Larissa and Atromitos in Greece and Hebei China Fortune in China before his short stint in Cyprus at AEL Limassol.

The Welshman has managed many players around the world but declared in March that none compared to Gareth Bale.

Coleman said: « [Bale] Is the best player Wales have ever had.

« I also think he’s the most successful British player to ever go abroad, he won four Champions League titles, no one has ever done that from Britain.

« You don’t have to coach players who are that good, you’ve just got to make sure they have got what they need. »
