MLS 🔵 LAFC and Sporting Kansas City complete final four – Soccer America

LAFC and Sporting KC won their U.S. Open Cup matches on Wednesday night to give MLS teams three of the four spots in the semifinals.

LAFC will face the Seattle Sounders in one semifinal, while Sporting KC will meet the USL Championship’s Indy Eleven, a 2-1 winner over Atlanta United, in the other semifinal.

• Sporting KC 2 FC Dallas 1: In a match that was stopped for an hour and 47 minutes in the second half due to bad weather and then needed overtime, Sporting KC advanced on Daniel Rosero’s winner in the 111th minute. Petar Musa sent the game to overtime when he scored in the 87th minute to cancel out Willy Agada’s goal 10 minutes earlier.

• LAFC 3 New Mexico United 1: LAFC got goals from Timothy Tillman, David MartĂ­nez and Mateusz Bogusz to advance to the Open Cup semifinals for the first time since 2018, its first season in MLS. New Mexico United kept the battle of Western Conference leaders close when Greg Hurst scored in the 57th minute.
