GOODISON NEWS 🔵 View: TFG must halt possible exit for Everton star, Moyes revival now on cards

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future at Everton has been up in the air for several weeks but the recent appointment of David Moyes could be just what he needs to elevate his game.

There’s no hiding from the fact that his form this season has been woeful but on the flip side, there’s little denying that there is a talented player in there.

The Toffees forward has been mooted for a January exit with his contract expiring [Tuttosport] but the recent return of Moyes as manager should force the Friedkin Group to reconsider his future at the club.

Moyes could be the perfect fit not only for the club but also for Calvert-Lewin to rekindle some of his form that once saw him tipped for a long career on the international stage.

David Moyes could revive the career of Calvert-Lewin at Everton

Quite frankly, very few players were able to showcase their true ability under the guidance of Sean Dyche given his dull, negative style of play and Calvert-Lewin was certainly one of the victims of that.

Now, Moyes isn’t exactly the polar opposite but his history of management showcases his passion for a striker who is capable of holding the ball up and working off others and Calvert-Lewin fits that bill.

With the form of Iliman Ndiaye and the creative abilities of Dwight McNeil, the recipe is there for a revival at Everton but with the doubts over his future, it will increase the challenge.

If Moyes can indeed find a way to play to the strengths of Calvert-Lewin, fortunes at Goodison Park could change in an instant.

If TFG were to make a decision on his future before any magic can be worked by the Scotsman, it could be a massive missed opportunity and one that they could be forced to regret further down the line.
