Pat Nevin believes Everton will “do anything to stay up” this season and could end up ruining Manchester United’s party in their Premier League clash on Sunday.
The Toffees currently sit 15th in the Premier League and are just two points away from the drop zone.
Speaking live on BBC One’s Football Focus (30 November, 12:13pm), Nevin shared his predictions for the clash on 1 December.
“They’re quite good at spoiling parties Everton, with the way they play just now,” he said.
“Is it four goals now that they’ve managed to lose in eight games, that’s an incredible defensive record but that’s very Sean Dyche isn’t it.

“It’s not been a delicious team to watch recently but they’ll do anything to stay up, it’s going to be a tough nut to crack Everton tomorrow.
“The best thing for the neutral would be an early goal for Manchester United which would open Everton up but I suspect it could be a low-scoring game this one.”
Everton and Sean Dyche could pull off upset against Man United
For the last couple of seasons, it’s felt like Everton have managed to hang onto their Premier League status by a thin thread.

The Merseyside outfit were deduced points on two occasions last term due to two separate breaches of the Premier League’s PSR rules with many thinking that would be enough to end their Premier League stint.
However, that evidently wasn’t the case and arguably, some would say they’re worse off now than they were last campaign.
The team have just 11 points to their name, and while they have gone on a decent unbeaten streak in the league, their final third play has been severely lacking.
Manchester United have already been beaten by West Ham United earlier in the season while Erik ten Hag was still the manager, so it’s not hard to understand why some may think the Toffees can grind out a result.
Only time will tell what the game has in store, but on paper, Dyche’s defensive tactics could leave Ruben Amroim’s men in quite a pickle.
In other Everton news, a moment in their Under-18s game against Liverpool on Saturday has left Joe Thomas flabbergasted.
