GOODISON NEWS 🔵 Everton takeover status revealed amid £200m concern

The Everton takeover continues to remain on track despite Leadenhall’s complaint to a New York judge over 777 Partners’ £200million loan, according to Alan Myers.

The Sky Sports news editor stated on 2 October that as far as he’s aware there have been no issues with the Friedkin Group’s imminent takeover of the Toffees.

Give Me Sport journalist Ben Jacobs also revealed that the Friedkin Group are confident that the New York court will approve of their agreement with A-Cap to deal with the aforementioned £200million loan.

Myers wrote on X: “No, as far as I’m aware all is on track.”

Everton takeover likely to go ahead despite recent roadblocks

There is no reason why the New York court will not approve of the agreement between the two parties.

Thus far, The Friedkin Group appear to have done everything by the book and hopefully, they’re given the green signal by the authorities.

It still seems to be a couple of months before the takeover can finally be approved as the Premier League too have to give them the go-ahead.

While 777 Partners looked close once upon a time, they had plenty of issues behind the scenes and that is not the case with the Friedkin Group.

Once that is done, plenty of changes could be on the cards and another key decision will need to be made quickly given Kevin Thelwell’s situation.

Hopefully, the right decision is made and unlike Farhad Moshiri, the Friedkins actually help realise the potential of this club.

In other Everton news, an automobile giant valued at £192.9billion likely to have held talks with the club over a ground-breaking deal.
