GOODISON NEWS 🔵 Everton eye Nketiah transfer as new Arsenal exit update emerges

Everton are interested in Arsenal strike Eddie Nketiah and could move to try and sign him soon, according to Caught Offside.

The outlet reported on its website on Thursday (11 July) that the Toffees alongside Premier League rivals, West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Brentford hold an interest in the England international’s signature.

Marseille are also preparing an opening offer in the region of £21million for the 25-year-old, but the Gunners are understood to value him somewhere between €29.5million and €33.7million and may hold out for more.

Nketiah is believed to be open and willing to leave the Emirates in search of a new challenge having fallen down Mikel Arteta’s pecking order and being limited to only 10 Premier League starts last term.

Will Eddie Nketiah exit Arsenal amid transfer interest from Everton this summer?

Everton have already moved quickly to add to their forward options during the summer transfer window, with Iliman Ndiaye making the move from Marseille to Goodison Park having been linked with the Toffees for several transfer windows.

But Sean Dyche may feel as though he needs one or two further additions to finally get to the route of the Blues’ striker problem and Nketiah could potentially be the ideal solution if he can be signed for the right price.

While the 25-year-old’s minutes at the Emirates have been limited over the last 12 months, he has shown throughout his career that he can be a consistent source of goals, as long as he is allowed to start games.

This deal could entirely hinge on the future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin. If the Englishman is sold before the window closes, Everton will have money to spend and they will need a new frontman.

Whether or not they will feel Nketiah has the physical profile to replace him at the top end of the field remains to be seen. Either way, this will be an interesting link to keep an eye on in the coming weeks as the season draws closer.
