Everton will face Newcastle United on 5 October.
Newcastle have question marks over the fitness of several players ahead of their trip to Everton in the Premier League.
The Toffees host Eddie Howe’s men at Goodison Park on 5 October with both sides coming off the back of a decent result last time out.
Howe has confirmed that Martin Dubravka and Fabian Schar both took knocks in the 1-0 win against Wimbledon on Tuesday 1 October.
Speaking to the Northern Echo (2 October), Howe shared an injury update on a handful of his players.
“Martin has taken a nasty bang to his knee. We hope he’s all right, but we’ll wait and see how that settles down tomorrow,” he said.
“I’ve no idea at the moment in time. I don’t know whether it’s a knock or anything more serious.
“I think it was a couple of things. Hopefully, he’s [Schar] okay. It was a bang to his ankle and a bit of tightness in his body.”

Everton had an abysmal season in the Premier League but will be hoping that their 2-1 win against Crystal Palace will spur them on to get more points on the board.

Sean Dyche’s future has been brought into question more than once this term and although he seems safe for now [i News, 23 September], if the results start turning poor once again, it feels like it would be hard to justify keeping him in charge of the team.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one member of the squad who hasn’t had things go quite right for him, but with glimpses of promise starting to come in, things are turning around.
The striker has missed a fair few chances with Darren Bent even claiming that the striker had “no idea” what he was doing before one of his clear-cut efforts in the defeat against Aston Villa.
Newcastle will be a tough challenge for the Toffees but with injuries mounting there and momentum growing at Goodison Park, they may just go into this one as slight favourites.
