DAILY RECORD 🔵 Dundee United set for Galymazhan Kenzhebek transfer battle as Greek giants linked with Kazakhstan star

Forward Kenzhebek is on a list of January players that United are looking at
Olympiakos have been linked with a move for Dundee United target Galymazhan Kenzhebek.
The Kazak international is on a list of potential January options for United. If the Greek league leaders do come into the equation that it would pretty much close the door on United’s chances.
Olympiakos would have far more financial muscle and would be able to blow Jim Goodwin’s side out of the water. Kenzehebek is out of contract with Yelimay at the end of the year. That has alerted United who have made contact with his representatives.
United head of recruitment Ross Goodwin has Kenzhebek on a list of possible wide options. The Tannadice side are only likely to make a move if it is feasible and won’t be drawn into a bidding war over financial terms.
Sources close to the 22-year-old have also claimed that Rangers have declared an interest, but sources at Ibrox have played those claims down. Goodwin, when asked about Kenzhebek previously, stated: He’s a good player, but I don’t really like talking about individuals at other clubs.
“We’re looking at lots of good players.
I don’t know how these things find their way out into the public, but I tend to like to try and keep things within the house.”
United will be in the market to strengthen their squad again when the transfer window opens in January. They have a list of targets lined up but are well aware they will face stiff competition.
Goodwin admitted: “Good players have good options and hopefully we’ll be able to get one or two good ones in.
“We’re looking at a number of players in a number of different positions.
“We want to try and add quality to the group in January and to keep the squad moving forward in the right direction.
“When you’re looking at good quality players, obviously they attract the attention of other teams as well.
“We just have to wait and see how that pans out, but it’s a sign of the times.”
